Just A Dream??

Dreams. We all have them, even if we don't remember them. It has even been said that on average most people have anywhere from 4-6 dreams everynight, and only one or two will be remembered in the morning.

So, we've all been there. You wake up with a sick stomach and a horrible feeling. You brush it off...after all "It's just a dream...." But is it really "just" a dream?? Or could it be something more??

Recently I went through a break-up. Beginning approximately a two months before our split, I started having dreams about him being mean to me, getting upset easily, and ignoring me. I told him about some of them, but he replied with that cliche' "It's just a dream, baby, I would never do that to you!" Outside of my dream realm, things were normal enough for the next two months. Then, out of nowhere, he calls me and breaks up with me...acting exactly as he had in my dreams. This is where my question for you comes in, do you think that dreams are all signals, warnings, and fortellings of our future? Or, perhaps, are they just the results of eating too close to bedtime? Whatever the answer maybe, I'm sure that it is most likely a mix of the two. So the next time you start having that reoccurring dream, you may want to think twice and say a prayer before you sweep it away to the back of your mind. Who knows, it may be your warning sign. Be wise, take heed.

I Really Don't Know What To Believe Anymore...

So I was just sitting and thinking about how everyone is so hip to this whole "Save the World!" bit. I actually find it quite interesting and funny. One thing we definitely don't have to worry about is water. It's always been here, and it always will be, unless of course we ever decided to suck it in to vacuum-sealed containers and send it into space...but, honestly! When I was younger, I used to be so concerned for the "fishies" because they put those commercials on PBS that sternly warned us about "saving some for the fish!" Now don't get me wrong, we should be good stewards of the Earth and all things on it, and we should also try our best to keep it clean. But come on, the water isn't going anywhere...ever.........so yes, conserve energy, and spend millions installing solar panels on your roofs. But for now, I 'm not horribly worried about anything. The Earth is a terribly delicate place, and if it has really been around for so long, as the science and bio professors love telling us, then I don't see it exploding into nothing all because of some CO2. All I'm trying to get across is that I think some people are too "green".

For instance, I have these neighbors who are, as some might put it; total "tree huggers". They won't even mow their lawn with a powered mower. A bit ago their grass got too high to cut with his push mower so he pulled out his battery-operated weed-whacker....O_o. Yaa, I felt like laughing. He went over his WHOLE lawn with his hi-tech machinery and then, and only then, did he utilize his rusty push mower. Now, I don't know much about yard appliances and such, but I don't think it would have made the Earth burst into flames if the poor guy had just asked to borrow one of our mowers....And to top it all off, just proving how "green" he is, he drives a batty old Volkswagen that stinks worse, puts out more smoke, and is louder than any car made in the past decade.

So what is it really about? One year they're telling us that we are headed into another Ice Age, and the next, we are all going to be incinerated as the Sun draws closer and closer to Earth. What will you choose to believe?
